Guide
TL;DR
Orders from buttglass.com ship in a plain box or mailer. Nothing on the outside names the store or what is inside. Order emails have plain subject lines and come from BG Commerce LLC. Paying with crypto keeps the purchase off your bank statement, but the store still has your name and address.
Plain packaging is a set of specific things. This is what the outside of your parcel looks like:
A plain box or mailer with no branding.
No product names on the shipping label.
No buttglass.com on the label or the carton.
No photos or category callouts anywhere on the outside.
A tracking label, the same as any other parcel.
That is the full list. Orders ship within 3 business days, to the lower 48 states and Washington, DC only. The shipping policy is the source of record for these details.
Some things are outside the store's control. Once the parcel leaves, the carrier handles it, and delivery notices follow the carrier's usual format. The store also cannot control what a building, a front desk or other people at the address do with a parcel.
Order emails stay plain. You get four kinds: confirmation, shipping, delivery and cancellation. Subject lines read like "Thanks for your order" or "Your order has shipped." No subject line has product names or explicit language.
The emails come from BG Commerce LLC at orders@bgcommerce.net, not from buttglass.com. BG Commerce LLC is the company that runs the shop. It is based in NJ.
Keep this in mind if you share an inbox or a device. The subject line is plain, but the email itself is still a record of your order. Use an email address only you check.
This guide covers paying with crypto. The store accepts these coins through a crypto payment processor: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Chainlink (LINK), USDC, USDT, PYUSD, Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), Monero (XMR) and Tron (TRX). Paying with crypto also takes 5% off your order.
What crypto does:
Your bank statement has no line for the purchase.
What crypto does not do:
Your wallet or exchange records still show the transfer.
On most public blockchains, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, anyone who looks can see transactions. A wallet address can be linked to you if it is linked to an exchange account.
The store still has the shipping name, address and email it needs to deliver your order.
Monero is designed to hide amounts and addresses by default. That is a feature of the coin. The store does not control it.
Put plainly: crypto lowers the paper trail on your bank statement. It does not take your name off the order.
Checkout is guest checkout, so you do not need an account. When you order, the store collects:
Your name
Your shipping address
Your email
An age confirmation (18+/21+)
The payment processors handle payment. The store does not store your payment details.
The age gate asks once, at the door. It does not track you after that. Basic cookies run the cart and checkout, nothing more.
Only the parties needed to complete your order see your details. These are the payment processor, fulfillment partners and the shipping carrier. Your information is not sold or rented. It is not shared with marketers or list brokers.
Order records are kept as long as accounting and tax recordkeeping require. You can email orders@bgcommerce.net to do any of these:
Ask what is on file.
Correct it.
Ask for deletion.
Requests are acted on within the limits of the order and tax records the store has to keep. That means some records may need to stay on file for a time. The privacy page is the source of record.
The store handles the packaging, the emails and the data. A few things are up to you:
1
Ship to an address where you can receive the parcel safely.
2
Use an email address only you check.
3
Use the tracking number if you want to be home when the parcel arrives.
4
Expect delivery notices in the carrier's usual format.
5
If you pay with crypto, think about which wallet you use and how it connects to your accounts.
The store cannot see or control your bank, your exchange or your devices. Browser history, saved logins and shared screens are yours to manage. Answers to other common questions are on the FAQ page.
